EPLG is proud to announce the forthcoming open access anthology Public Procurement and Contract Law: Exploring Intersections, Defining Boundaries, co-edited by EPLG member Marta Andhov (University of Auckland, New Zealand), alongside Michal Kania and Sylvie Cécile Cavaleri, and to be published by Bloomsbury in May 2026. The book is currently available for pre-order on the Bloomsbury Publishing website.

The book investigates how public procurement and contract law interact and diverge, particularly during the performance phase of public contracts, an area only partially harmonised across the EU. By addressing fundamental questions on the overlap of legal regimes, the transformation of classical contract concepts, and jurisdictional differences, the volume provides valuable insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers.

Several members of the European Procurement Law Group (EPLG) have made significant contributions to this important work. In addition to co-editor Marta Andhov, chapters are authored by Miguel Assis Raimundo (University of Lisbon, Portugal), François Lichère (University of Jean Moulin Lyon 3, France), Kirsi-Maria Halonen (University of Lapland, Finland), and Willem Janssen (Utrecht University, the Netherlands). Their research collectively deepens the understanding of how public procurement and contract law intersect across diverse European jurisdictions, enriching the book’s comparative and forward-looking analysis.
